Each morning it writes a scene and drops you inside it: a fish auction at 4am, a dinner service collapsing, armadillos evacuating a burrow because the moon is dripping cheese. Your name is in the script. The voice can be a preset, an accent, or a clone of someone who agreed to it.
On the paid tiers you hold a button and argue with the scene while it stays in character. Premium adds a background sound, Dream layers up to four including ambient beds and audio you record. Nothing repeats.
Best for people who want a small piece of theatre before coffee. Overkill if you want a spoken to-do list.
Wake AI
Type a message, pick or make a voice, and it speaks that as your alarm, scheduled through Apple’s AlarmKit. The words are yours, and they stay the same tomorrow unless you change them.
Avo
Builds a personalized wake-up message from your name, calendar and the weather, read aloud in a synthetic voice. Creative in a practical direction.
Apple Clock with a custom sound
Free, and further than people expect. Any audio file in your library works as an alarm tone, including something you record. It plays the same clip forever, which is the habituation problem the rest of this list exists to solve, and it costs nothing to try tonight.
How to judge one of these
Ask whether the app writes something new or replays something fixed. Fixed audio stops registering within a couple of weeks whatever it is, which is why generated scenes exist in this category at all.
