Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
These terms apply when you use the Alarmesque mobile app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the app.
What Alarmesque does
Alarmesque schedules wake-up alarms and generates short, in-character voice scenes using AI. The audio is produced by third-party providers (xAI for voice and chat, ElevenLabs for optional voice cloning). The character voices are fictional performances; nothing they say is medical, legal, or financial advice, and you should not act on anything an alarm scene tells you to do beyond getting out of bed.
Subscriptions
Alarmesque offers two paid tiers, Premium and Dream, available as monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. You can also redeem a one-time promo code if we’ve given you one.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Play Store → Subscriptions (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — there are no partial refunds for the unused portion of a paid period.
- Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency at the time of purchase.
- Free trial periods (where offered) convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to harass, impersonate, or defame anyone.
- Clone a voice you don’t have permission to clone. By uploading a voice sample you confirm you have the consent of the speaker.
- Use the app to produce content that would violate applicable law.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or models.
Content and ownership
You own the scenes and custom descriptions you write. By using third-party AI providers we have to share what you write with them at inference time — see the Privacy Policy for details. Generated voices and scripts are produced algorithmically; we don’t claim copyright on the output, and we make no warranty about its uniqueness.
Disclaimer
Alarmesque is provided “as is”. We try hard to make the alarm fire on time, but we can’t guarantee it against operating-system updates, battery-optimizer apps, or device-specific quirks. Do not rely on Alarmesque as your sole alarm for safety-critical wake-ups (medical, transportation, etc.) — keep a backup.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. Material changes will be flagged in the app or via the email address you’ve given us (if any). Continued use of the app after a change counts as acceptance.
