Common things

My alarm didn’t ring.

iOS:Settings → Sounds & Haptics → make sure Ringer & Alerts is up. Silent mode and Focus modes don’t mute Alarmesque, but a 0% volume slider will. Also confirm Settings → Privacy & Security → Alarms shows Alarmesque enabled.

Android:Settings → Apps → Alarmesque → Notifications must be enabled, and Settings → Apps → Special app access → Alarms & reminders must show Alarmesque enabled (Android 14+). Disable any battery-optimizer for Alarmesque so the alarm isn’t suspended in the background. Make sure media volume is up.

The voice sounds flat / not dramatic enough.

Set a fresh alarm — the AI re-rolls the script every time. If you’re on a custom-cloned voice, the original recording sample drives a lot of the expressive range. Re-record in a quiet room with a more emotional read for better results.

Can I cancel an alarm before it fires?

Yes. Tap the ✕ on the alarm card on the home screen, or unlock the phone when it fires and tap Dismiss.

Does it work without internet?

The alarm fires offline — the audio is generated and saved when you set it. You only need internet at the moment of setting an alarm.
