Permissions
Alarms.
Alarmesque needs alarm permission to ring. If it isn’t granted, the app prompts you and links you straight to the right Settings page. You can revisit this from inside the app any time.
Microphone.
Needed for Talk back, voice cloning, and recording your own scene audio. The app asks the first time you use one of those features. If you declined earlier, the same in-app prompt routes you to Settings to flip it back on.
FAQ
Ghost alarms (an alarm fired that I didn’t schedule).
In rare cases an extra alarm can get scheduled. There’s a one-tap fix built into the app. Open Alarmesque, tap Report it in the home-screen footer, choose Bug, and tap Cancel all alarms. That wipes every scheduled alarm, snooze, and backup on the device. Your scenes, voices, and settings stay. Set your alarms again afterward.
Can I cancel an alarm before it fires?
Yes. Tap the ✕ on the alarm card on the home screen, or unlock the phone when it fires and tap Dismiss.
Does it work without internet?
The alarm fires offline. The audio is generated and saved when you set it, so you only need internet at the moment of setting an alarm.
Does my volume affect the alarm?
No. The system handles the alarm sound, so your volume slider doesn’t change whether or how loudly the alarm fires. Volume only matters for in-app audio preview and the Talk back feature, which need it turned up.
